Unhealthy vs. Overweight
I think many people on here blur the lines between being unhealthy and being overweight. Confusing? Well, let me explain these terms in my own words and for the point I am trying to make.
Being unhealthy is when someone (being overweight, underweight, or even at an ideal weight) does not consume a healthy balanced diet and is not active. Being overweight is when someone eats a balanced diet, is active, but is heavier than their ideal weight (it is possible). For the point I am trying to make, when I say unhealthy I refer to those who are unhealthy and overweight.
Now, what bothers me on here is that many people say that it is okay to be unhealthy by saying they are perfect just the way are no matter what weight. DO NOT get me wrong! I truly believe with all my heart that EVERY person is beautiful, has a purpose, and is worth so much. What I do not believe is that being unhealthy is beautiful. Unhealthiness hands out sickness and even kills. There is nothing beautiful about that.
Contrary to popular belief, it is possible to be healthy and overweight. Caring for your body by nourishing it and keeping it energetic promotes life and wellness. That is beautiful.
I’m going to repeat this again because I know some bonehead will misinterpret me. I think everyone is beautiful and has worth, but we need to get it out of our heads that being overweight while being unhealthy is beautiful. You do not need to be thin to be beautiful. Thinking like that is loaded with crap.
To those who are still confused, simply said: All people are beautiful, but the way we treat our bodies is not always beautiful.
