i just ate about 1/3 lb of almonds in the past few days and someone JUST told me they're not healthy to eat that excessively! do i need to hit the gym majorly tomorrow?

Almonds are really really healthy! That someone probably meant they’re high in fat or calories, which they are but it’s the good kind of fat and the calories give you energy. I wouldn’t worry about it.

There are SO many pro-ana websites on here, it's scary. Anyway I just wanted to let you know I have suffered with an eating disorder since I was 13, I am currently trying to get back to a BMI of about 19 (i'm now at 21) and this blog is excellent! Your posts are so motivating without being upsetting! Seriously, well done and thankyou for trying to encourage a healthy attitude towards weight :) xx

Thank you so much! That’s a big compliment! Good luck on your goal! :)

I've been eating super unhealthy for the last week and now I'm losing motivation : ( Do you think a week of slip-offs can be made up for? Also, I track everything I eat; would it make me obsessed with calories and such?

You can definitely make up for it. Don’t lose motivation, use this as a learning experience for next time. I would personally keep track of what I eat so that I wouldn’t keep messing up. Don’t obsess over it, learn from it. :)

Hi Mel! First of all, love your blog - it's nice to see a healthy weight-loss blog! I'm starting a blog tracking my personal weight loss (goal is to lose 30 by the time I go to China for a school trip!) Mind promoting me? My tumblr name is "30forChina"

Following, and everyone else should check out this blog too! :)

hi! how tight should a sports bra be? Does the tightness affect whether or not you'll be likely to lose your boobs while working out?

Nope, the tightness is completely a personal preference, and mainly so all that bouncing around from working out won’t hurt your chest.

what are some diuretic foods? i thought i saw you list cucumber as one a whillee ago, but when i googled diuretic foods, they weren't listed as one :/

Yeah, but I listed it as a natural laxative (I’m pretty sure it’s a diuretic too). Laxatives make you poo, and diuretics make you pee. Some natural diuretics are lettuce, green tea, watermelon, and celery.

Is it ok to eat pizza once in a while, I had 3 slices tonight but i NEVER eat it, is this ok? =/

Pizza, like everything else, is ok in moderation. I would have gone for two slices, but it’s really nothing to worry about. It’s ok to treat yourself, just don’t make it a habit.
